Is it really waterproof? Like, shower-proof?
Yes. Actually waterproof. 925 sterling silver doesn’t corrode or tarnish from water – you can shower, swim, wash dishes, and sweat in it. The only thing to avoid is prolonged soaking in harsh chemicals (like bleach or strong pool chlorine). Normal pool? Fine. Everyday water? Completely fine.
Will it turn my finger green?
No. Green fingers come from copper-heavy alloys (like brass) or low-grade silver plating. 925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver – it doesn’t contain enough copper to cause any discolouration. If a ring turns your finger green, it’s not sterling silver.
What does "925" actually mean?
It’s the hallmark for sterling silver – it means the metal is 92.5% pure silver, with 7.5% other metals (usually copper) added for strength. Pure silver on its own is too soft for jewellery. 925 is the industry standard for quality silver that lasts.
Are the rings solid silver or silver-plated?
Solid 925 sterling silver. Not plated, not coated, not silver-coloured alloy. Plated rings fade when the coating wears off. Our rings are solid silver all the way through – which is exactly why they last.
Sizing
How do I find my ring size?
Wrap a thin piece of paper around your ring finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in mm. Size 5 = 49.3mm, Size 6 = 51.8mm, Size 7 = 54.4mm, Size 8 = 57mm, Size 9 = 59.5mm. If you’re between sizes, go up. Our Ring Guide also helps with this.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes — within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in original condition, we’ll exchange for a different size. Just contact us and we’ll sort it out. Size exchanges are easy with us.
Shipping & Orders
How long does delivery take?
2–4 business days within South Africa. We ship with a tracked courier. You’ll get a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us. Free shipping on all orders R599+.
Can I order as a gift?
Absolutely – and we love this. Add a gift note at checkout and we’ll hand-write it and include it in the packaging. Every Halo & Hue order already comes with a handwritten note from us, so it’s always a proper moment.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet, we’re currently South Africa only. We’re working on it. If you’re international, drop us an email and we’ll let you know as soon as we expand.
Returns & Care
What's your returns policy?
If something’s wrong, we’ll make it right. We accept returns within 14 days — items must be unworn and in original condition. For sizing exchanges, we go out of our way to help. See our full Shipping & Returns page.
How do I care for my ring?
Your ring is waterproof and tarnish-resistant, but the included polishing cloth will keep it looking new. Avoid harsh chemicals. Rinse occasionally with warm water. That’s genuinely it. See our full Care Guide for everything.
